"Discover the Caucasus" is an alternative 8-day proposal that focuses on the spectacular Georgian mountains before delving into Armenian mysticism. Unlike other short tours that focus on wine, this itinerary prioritizes the ascent to the Greater Caucasus, offering breathtaking alpine landscapes before descending to Armenia's historical richness.

The Summits of Georgia

Starting in Tbilisi, our main objective will be the Georgian Military Highway. We will pass by Ananuri fortress and Jinvali reservoir before reaching Kazbegi (Stepantsminda). There, we will ascend by 4x4 to the Gergeti Trinity Church, located at 2,170 meters under the imposing gaze of Mount Kazbek. It is Georgia's definitive postcard image. We will also explore the ancient capital Mtskheta and Stalin's birthplace, Gori, along with the cave city of Uplistsikhe.

The Soul of Armenia

Crossing the border into Armenia, the landscape softens but history intensifies. We will visit the monasteries in the Lori region, Haghpat and Sanahin, before reaching the capital. In Yerevan, we will enjoy its pink tuff architecture and cosmopolitan atmosphere. Excursions will take us to Garni temple and Geghard monastery, as well as Echmiadzin cathedral.

This trip is ideal for those who love landscape photography and religious history. In just over a week, you will go from Georgian glaciers to Armenian temples, experiencing the radical contrast that makes this region such a fascinating destination.
